Admission to the first year of the BFS

• If you choose English or French as your major foreign language
  1. Translation from your major foreign language
  2. Translation into your major foreign language
• If you choose Spanish as your major foreign language
  Examination in German

Admission to the second year of the BFS

• Translation into your chosen major foreign language to demonstrate your general linguistic knowledge
• Translation from your chosen minor foreign language to demonstrate your general linguistic knowledge
• Economics translation from your chosen major foreign language to demonstrate your technical knowledge

Admission to the first or second year of the FAK

• Translation from your major foreign language into German (30 minutes)
• Translation from German into your major foreign language (30 minutes)
• Translation from your minor foreign language into German (30 minutes)
  This examination in your minor foreign language must be taken by applicants who have not graduated from
  the BFS and want to be admitted to the second year of the FAK, in order to demonstrate an adequate
  knowledge of their chosen minor foreign language if they cannot otherwise demonstrate such knowledge,
  for example by presentation of an appropriate German Abitur (advanced school-leaving) certificate.
